Is this live, or pre-recorded?

Live. Sessions run over Google Meet or Zoom with the instructor present. You can ask questions and get them answered during the session.

Who teaches it?

A practising Data Protection Officer - someone doing this work day to day, not a full-time trainer.

How do I pay?

Registering interest on this page does not charge you anything. We invoice you separately once we confirm your place and the batch date.

Is GST included in the price?

No. GST is charged on top, at 18%. So a student pays ₹4,719 in total and a working professional pays ₹9,439 in total. We show the pre-GST figure because that is the convention for professional training in India, but you will be invoiced the full amount.

How do you check whether I am really a student?

We take you at your word when you register. You may be asked for a student ID before we raise the invoice.

Do I get a certificate?

Certificate details are confirmed with each batch. We would rather tell you the exact terms when you register than promise something vague here.

Is this an accredited or government-recognised qualification?

No, and you should be sceptical of any DPDP course in India that claims otherwise - there is currently no recognised accrediting body for DPDP training. This is professional training, not a statutory qualification, and no certificate is required to work as a DPO in India.

You already have a free DPDP course. Why pay for this one?

They do different things. The free course at /learn teaches you the Act and tests that you have understood it, at your own pace. This course is about applying it - with a practising DPO in the room who can answer the specific question you are stuck on. Do the free one first if you are starting from zero; it costs nothing and this course will land better.

What if I cannot make a session?

Tell us when you register and we will let you know how the batch handles it. We would rather set that expectation honestly up front than promise recordings we have not committed to.
